Job responsibilities:
- Lead project implementation, including work plans, timelines, budgets, and resources
- Supervise teams, coordinate cross-functions, and oversee field activities
- Facilitate coordination meetings and ensure integrated execution
- Prepare reports, documentation, and evaluations of project progress
- Monitor progress, resolve challenges, and manage contracts and finances
- Ensure compliance with safeguards, standards (Verra, Gold Standard), and MRV processes
- Build stakeholder relationships and manage risks effectively
- Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution
- Ensure project alignment with environmental, social, and carbon market requirements
Who are we looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Preferred) in Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related field
- At least 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in carbon, sustainability, or conservation sectors
- Proven experience managing nature-based solutions or carbon offset projects
- Strong knowledge of carbon standards (e.g., VCS, CCB, Gold Standard), MRV processes, and relevant national policy and regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to manage field teams and work in rural or remote areas
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent in English (local language skills are a plus)
